As we perform our social obligations to help #FlattenTheCurve by practicing social distancing (that means staying home for 14 days), we're here to help you with this guide of how to stay sane in this difficult time.

If you’ve been putting off workout for a while because you’re busy with work/school, now’s the perfect time to do so! You don’t need a full workout gear or sophisticated equipment found in gyms. All you need is a space in your home and your phone. Simple right?
Search up on Youtube for those workout videos. Find a workout challenge to spice things up! If high-intensity workouts aren’t your type, then try other activities like yoga and pilates. The key thing here is to get you moving because staying inside for 2 weeks is a long time.
Even Dua Lipa’s doing it!
Time to hit the floor! Whether you’re home alone or not, find a room and get the adrenaline pumping!
You don’t need to be a professional dancer for this. All you need to do is turn to your Spotify or Youtube and play some music to get you dancing. You can check out Just Dance in Youtube and follow along to their choreography. Ask your partner or your family member to join in!
But if you’re alone and you happen to, ahem, like KPOP, try following along to your favourite idols’ dance practice videos! You might be surprised it’s a lot harder than it seems and you’ll be sweating non stop in the end.
For many people, including party and club-goers, social distancing is real because of the virus. But desperate times call for desperate measure, some people are becoming creative in overcoming this.
In China, DJs turn to Douyin, China's version of TikTok, to livestream their club event and depending on the length of each event, these clubs are earning profits from this. As more people are turning to apps and online-based entertainment, cloud clubbing has gained traction amid the quarantine-at-home order.
Phew, you can still rave from the comfort of your home!
Apart from working out or dancing, you can finally do some spring cleaning while you’re at home. Maybe you’ve been wanting to organize your kitchen pantry or do a deep cleaning in your room. Since we don’t know how long we have to stay at home, it’ll be a great way to fill up the time.
Start by setting up cleaning goals because you can’t clean up your home in a day! By spreading out daily goals over the week, it helps to not only keep your home clean but also you’ll keep yourself occupied throughout the time.
Blast some music while you’re at it!
Workout? Check. Spring cleaning? Check. But now what? Time to learn some new hobbies! Fancy speaking another language? Download language apps like Duolingo. Want to learn how to play the guitar? Check out Garageband.
There’s plenty of things you can do and learn over 14 days. Who knows you might fall in love with something new when otherwise you wouldn’t dream of doing it. Performing your social responsibilities has never been easier as you’ll spend your time discovering yourself.
Before this, you didn’t have time to play games. Well, you have all the time in the world now! The options are endless; there’s board games, online games. All you need to do is choose the games you’ve been dying to try.
Plus, you can still keep yourself busy and active while playing games! For instance, to get you pumped, you can try and play the Wii Sport with your partner or your family members. Additionally, you can always play the classics like Monopoly, Jenga and many more.
As the virus grows rampant and governments urging people to stay at home, more people are turning to live streaming apps and services for solace. This is the time where you can binge-watch your favourite shows without worrying whether you have to complete your work or sleep early afterwards.
Nice, you can finally catch up on Netflix because you’ve missed out a lot.
While we try to keep the worries at bay, unwind yourself with some daily meditation. Inhale, exhale. Deep breath. Not only can you avoid unnecessary panic in yourself and others, but you also get to clear your mind for good, as we live in a time where we have a lot of things to think and worry about.
So, start by pampering yourself by lighting up those lovely scented candles in your home. Practice deep breathing, perform self-care activities like soaking up in a warm bath or treating yourself to some tasty treats in the kitchen.
Keep calm and meditate!
We hope by suggesting these activities you can do at home, you'll forget counting the quarantine days because there's so much to do. Stay safe, stay sane and stay chill!
